unless there's some other means in which we can help, or find someone that can, (offering information as to where to try, etc.) this isn't a job for us. We need to downscale what prospective jobs we look at. I'm all for helping to spruce up a place and things of that nature, but I feel that talking about roofing, especially on a two story house, is unrealistic.

Oh, I agree. Way out of our league. But clearly they need some help and support. It's about advocacy. We have made waves by being friends and advocates to fellow neighbors. For me it just requires computer research time and phone calls. That I don't mind, particularly if it helps someone out, and helps the neighborhood.

I have 3 ideas for homes:
1. The house on Laura (the lone bungalow) between 6th/7th Streets, on the east side of the street.
Catherine Hunt (Cathy Campbell's mom) suggested it
2. The house Cindi suggested, or at least started a discussion about, on 7th/Perry, the one with the not so nice neighbor.
3. I believe Amanda told Gloria about a home somewhere over in the North/East Quadrant.

There is also the bungalow tucked into the alley between 2nd and 3rd street that Joan and I saw.

Also, what about the ones on Walnut that I think Karla talked about?

Good beginnings of a list. I suppose addresses would help!

It's to my understanding that the house on Perry is going to foreclosure...if we're going to do anything, we need to move quickly on this one. We need contact info for the owner.

If you have addresses, I can find and contact the owner.

I would love to help with Walnut Court. It seems like I've been hearing that house worked on nearly every day most of the time I've lived here =)

Walnut Court is in limbo at this exact minute in time. My dream for that house is that we mothball it until Jeff can afford to fix it up. Most likely it will go to someone who has deeper pockets than Jeff has right now.

Once we know what is going on, we will announce it loudly!

In the meantime, our current project, 1626 Ionia could use some help. Interested?

We should start thinking/suggesting what could be our next project. I know that Cathy had suggested a house on Laura (I believe was the location) and Karla had mentioned something on Walnut.....has there been any follow up to any of these possibilities? I'm thinking that perhaps we could shoot for March or April....thoughts? suggestions?
