I've no problem with helping, but let's see what the code violations are and what's involved...then we can go from there

I will have a copy tomorrow. I suggest we meet with Mike O'Laughlin there and perhaps Martin Kennelly (historic code enforcement) and see what it will take to keep them off this guy.

I agree, but siding isn't cheap and we would need some major donations.

True. But it fits in our description of helping houses before they get condemned.

Let's see what we are up against. It is the cheapest of all siding. Plain, small, and could be simple pressure treated (it is probably cedar).

Trust me, if this is a doable project, I'm all for it

<gloria>

I'm meeting with code enforcement at Kenneth's house tomorrow morning to see what we need to do to help him get out of his jam with them.

btw the violations are pretty vague.

I had a great meeting with Mike OLaughlin, code enforcement guy, at Kenneth's house.

Basically, he wants rather minor repairs to Kenneth's house and some paint to match. I believe if we got him the materials he could do this, minus the soffit repairs. I can handle these.

Then for Make It Happen! we can add some trim paint for pop, clean up the yard, landscape. It would be dramatic.

Of course, historic code enforcement, should they get involved, may have another story.

Very doable. Good project.
