One of the workers at the store came into the thrift store today, thanked us for the flowers and told me how beautiful they are. "We're taking really good care of them." He said. "Miss Eva brings her hose down to water them too."

And then he bought a shirt.

Double smile. I rode by there today to see if the flowers needed water, and they looked really good. They are being appreciated.

Simone, who lives in Eva Ayers apartments and is a frequent shopper at the thrift store, told me today that the guys are fixing up the inside of the store...installing coffee centers and ice cream and have replaced some of their signs.

Anyone been in lately? I'll try to get in soon and check it out.

She said that they are "very proud" of the flowers.
