Photos and info on demolished houses

Post by Gloria » Wed Jul 17, 2013 6:46 pm

As I continue to work on this, is there a better way to organize the individual threads? Johannes?

Great question! Would it be beneficial to work with SHEC? Somehow have the ability to export the data as well?

Joahnnes has that part in the works already. At least he has made contact to see about merging.

I think the info is fine here, and organized well. Most of all: if you start a new post for an address, make sure to write the address so it is in a "standard" format. E.g. Number-Direction-Street Name-Street Type (e.g. 418 W 7th Street). That way, it will be easier to merge things and the "thingy" should already be able to pick it up. The double addresses are a bit difficult, but I can deal with it later (e.g. 416-418 W 7th Street).

I uploaded the spreadsheet to our Google drive. This way, people can read it without owning Excel.

one of the things I have to work on is that many of the addresses no longer exist. Have to figure out how to deal with "legacy addresses" in our database.
