1536 Clark Street

It is important to keep the abandoned houses in Springfield looking as good as possible. If you are interested in mowing around a particular house, please sign up here. This way, we are less likely to forget one, and we are going to avoid some duplicate work.

Please only one thread per address.

I started putting up some signs at houses that we either own, or care about. If you see a house that could use one, let me know. For now, we do have signs at these houses:

- our 8 Dancy Terrace Bungalows
- Drew Castle
- 229 E 2nd Street (put up yesterday)
- Clark Street (put that up yesterday)

I do have the flyers made for the Walnut court houses, but one already has an older version Nicole made, and I need to get the key for the other house to get to it. (maybe just going to jump the fence later. should be easy enough)

The goal of the sign is to give people an alternative to file care requests, to stay "in touch" with other people caring for the house, and to just let it know that we care.

I am attached the Drew Castle version. They all vary slightly depending on if we own them or not.

Joan thank you and thank you for posting.

One of our requirements for the mothballing status is that we keep a log of maintenance. This forum section could be used for that.

Any time anyone goes to any of our properties to monitor or to work, we need to record it.

Thanks!

was going to mow, but it didn't really need it much. The truck was parked in front of the house, blocking most of the yard. Also, I guess it's the pile of trash from when it was cleaned out, but it's all over the freaking place. I didn't have any more trash bags with me to get it up.

I bag everything I bring out of the house except for furniture and such. Don't know why it would be scattered. It's mostly sheetrock/ash/dirt. I make reasonable-sized piles (I think) rather than mountains. So far, everything I've put out on the previous Saturday is gone by the next.

That guy really needs to stop parking there. I blocked him in this past Saturday and only grumpily moved my truck to let him leave.
