:( Do we have a before picture of this house?

We need to have befores of all the houses in danger. If it comes down then, a picture like this, with the before, would make a powerful statement to the City Council.

Now we need another SOS sign. This time with tears dropping from the heart, and Rest in Peace and the date on the sign to post on the vacant lot.

Rest in Peace
111 E. 6th
9-16-2010

In fact, how about these on all the vacant lots where we know the demo date? What a powerful statement.

I'm just full of ideas today. :-)

A picture from 12/29/2007. The owner bought the house on 6/22/2007 for $65000. And now it's gone. Can't be profitable.

That will be a lot of RIP signs.
But I like your idea.

Thanks for the pic Alex.

Yeah, lots of RIP signs is exactly what went through my mind when I posted it. Bring attention to the issue.

I love this. I was just thinking about making a rest in peace. I think we should put a birth date on it as well. And a saying "Beloved Grand Dame" or something.<Gloria>

Oh Joan. You gave me a much needed giggle and smile.
I like the whole sign idea. Circa date, death date, love it all. Good way to continue to draw attention.
