445 E 7th Street

Post by Gloria » Fri Oct 01, 2010 3:39 pm

The house next to the burn out. Anyone have any ideas?

I do have some OSB which would work on the siding. The roof needs some attention.

Any ideas? Do I leave Ionia and focus on this?

Anyone else want to tackle it?

Gloria, thanks for posting this.

I think 1626 Ionia needs to be finished once the owner returns from wherever he is.

I'm excited for Killingsworth to return and hear about his ideas and plan. I say we hold tight before starting another mothball, just until Ionia is done, and just until Killingsworth returns.

We have an artist for this house. Marie -- she contacted me via facebook. She'd like to do an abstract butterfly on the front windows.

check her out on facebook

Why not? I think Killingsworth sort of liked the artwork, btw.

Personally, I like the SOS window covers you made for Ionia because it gets our name out, a kind of "branding" that is uniform.
That said, maybe we could put SOS on the other windows, and save one for an artist? What do you all think?

What about the main door(s) for the artist and windows "branded"?

I like that idea. Artist's door. Maybe top and bottom door.

It was so very cool to be at the special masters and see our sos signs on the property that code enforcement was showing as neglected. It made me giggle a bit.

Luke Stokes
Jeffrey Fisher
Taxes for this property are paid in full
There are about $3k posted in liens from 2008

Also own 1626 Liberty and 105 E. 9th, both are PIF and owned outright.

Luke Stokes (or his wife) address may be: 4751 River Dr. Jax, FL 32210 or 1626 Liberty, in Historic Springfield. Can't decide.

THERE IS A FORCLOSURE SALE ON THE PROPERTY (or permission to have a sale due to foreclosure) on October 26, 2010. This from US National Bank.
So soon there will be a new owner, ugh, a bank. Guess it can't get any worse.

Does not look good for it. Could we get permission from him before the foreclosure?
