I just talked to one of the neighbors on Laura who says that he died too, sometime last year. She does not have any contact info, sorry, but she knows there is a granddaughter who used to come visit every now and then. Their house backs up to this backyard and they have also been concerned about the condition, husband noticed that the shed had been broken into and tools stolen. Husband wanted to cut the yard but was worried that he'd be accused if something went missing. I encouraged them to do whatever they can to look out for the house.

Now that I know the situation I will pay more attention.

Finn and I picked up trash, swept and gave the little tree on the curb a hair cut; it needed it. I wish I had a gas operated weed eater to cut that grass in front of the house. Maybe I can convince the neighbors next door to let me use one of their outlets for a few minutes this weekend...

There are still two doors (one to the right side of the bungalow and one to a shed in the back) that need to be secured.

Would it be okay to take those two notifications and put them into the mailbox?

So...when you secure the houses I know you holler inside for human inhabitants, but do you also check for those of the feline variety? I ask because one of the usual crew has not turned up in several days, and I had the awful thought that she might now be inside the house. I know they had always hung out on the porch and probably underneath, but if the doors were open that means they had access to the inside as well.

I will investigate as soon as I can. It may be a total coincidence, she was always a wanderer and has disappeared before and reappeared safe and sound.

Thanks for understanding my personal obsession. :D

If you ever run into a potential kitty-stuck situation, let me know...have traps, will travel. I suspect 99% of the time if they got in, they can get out just fine.

Uh...apparently the wayward kitty has internet access and must have heard I was looking for her. She showed up at dinner this evening looking none the worse for wear.
