316? Isn't that on the block between Pearl and Perry? Why would they demo it for the school?

Fix the posting: she stood standing until at least 2006.

From the MLS:
listed 1/2004
expired 1/2006
listed at $55k
circa 1924

Okay, I know this house. Joe and I went into it.

Very small, everything inside was small, like it was built for a little woman.

It was rusticated block.

There was thread on MySpringfield or possibly old SPAR forum about this house. I think demo was 2008-ish?

There used to be a block house on 12th behind that yellow one, but I think it was two story. Taken down about then too. There was a vacant lot next door. Yellow house on corner, facing Pearl, vacant lot, then the two story. I think. I remember saying something to Louise about it, and she said, "No one is ever going to buy that house" because of it's location across from the warehouse. But I think it was two stories. So maybe this one was on the vacant lot.

Then this may be the one. Yes, 2008-ish sounds right. After we moved to 9th and Pearl in summer 2007, Dave and I delivered the Woman's Club newsletter in the NW quadrant. We walked down 12th Street west of Pearl to see if there were any occupied houses.

We saw that house, and could see it was empty. Loved the rusticated block. We walked around back, and that's where we found the abandoned puppies Lynn Williams and SACARC came and rescued for us. Anyway, we didn't move into our house on Pearl until Summer 2007, and it was there then. I thought it was such a shame, because it was a great house.
